Diethyl phthalate is a chemical substance with the molecular formula of c12h14o4. The product is colorless to yellowish clear oil liquid. The product is easily soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, almost insoluble in water. Used as plasticizers, solvents, lubricants, fixing agents, frothing agents for flotation of colored or rare metal mines, GC stationary liquids, alcohol denaturants, spray insecticides. 1. Used as plasticizer of plastics.
