Cyanuric acid is a white crystalline precipitate from the water, with two water of crystallization. Taste bitter, non-toxic, soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water, acidic aqueous solution, can dissolve in aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, cold does not dissolve in alcohol, ether, benzene and other organic solvents. There are two isomers, namely and enol ketone structure, usually in a mixture of the two isomers.
Cyanuric acid is mainly used in the manufacture of chlorinated derivatives, used in the synthesis of cyanuric acid formaldehyde resin, epoxy resin, herbicides, etc.
