Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, commonly known as brain gold, which is found in up to 20% of the human cerebral cortex and about 50% of the retina of the eye. DHA algal oil was approved as a new food raw material by the Ministry of Health of China in 2010 and can be added to ordinary food products. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) algal oil powder is a powder product made from DHA algal oil by emulsification, embedding and spray drying.
